Thank you to Judge Ana C. Reyes for rebuking Pres. Trump's effort to ban Trans people from serving in the military! As she wrote in her 79 page opinion, the government had thrown together a ban based on next-to-no evidence and "the law does not demand that the Court rubber-stamp illogical judgments based on conjecture." And I love this, "The evidence presented was so thin that the Defense Department might have well cited the latest Beyonce album!"

Today, there is very sad news- a trans man, Sam Nordquist, was cruelly tortured and murdered by several people in New York. But that could happen anywhere. Mr. Trump speaks so cruelly about the GLBTQ+ community. If you can, please donate to GLBTQ+ organizations that help our community- the Trevor Project & Lambert House are two excellent organizations. Oh, that this torture and cruelty would end. Love is love.

Way to go, Liz Cheney! You changed your mind and support same s*x marriage. Your dad said it best when he said freedom to marry belongs to everyone. You didn't support gay marriage before, but you've seen the light and mended your ways. Thank you. Another light in the darkness.

THANK YOU, SWITZERLAND!! Switzerland voted to allow same s*x marriage- hooray! Whenever I thought of that beautiful country, my memory was marred by the woman we met there who thought being gay was a sin, a choice someone made. No matter how long we argued or tried to persuade her, she refused to consider anything we said, even when we told her God didn't hate gay people. So, for me, she made Switzerland less than perfect. I was so happy to read yesterday that the Swiss people voted to approve same s*x marriage!!! Justice, and LOVE, triumphs!!!

Happy Pride! In this month, when we celebrate the great strides toward equality we have made, we remember that we are not there yet- that we have miles to go. BLM-together, we will change the world!
