October is BIG GIVE Month! This is our biggest PTA fundraiser of the year and your support directly impacts education, staffing support, the arts and events that make our Adams community special! Detailed flyers will go home in backpacks this week along with pledge forms and keep an eye out for PTA tables on the playground throughout the month!

We are asking that every student return a pledge form, whether you plan to donate or not, to one of our PTA members on the playground at drop-off in the AM. We will have a little treat for each student and there will be an opportunity to win some amazing prizes throughout the month! Some of the prizes will include VIP parking in the school lot, a huge Trader Joe’s gift basket, and a gift card to the Ballard Cut!

The PTA appreciates any and all amounts families are able to contribute! Because we are a diverse community with a range of financial circumstances, we request that families who are able donate $700 per child to supercharge our progress towards our goal of $100K from our community. We are looking to replace about $25K in expiring grants to maintain our funding for arts and Islandwood this year.

Each year, the Adams PTA presents two winners for each of these awards:
~ The Volunteer Golden Acorn Award
~ The Outstanding Educator Award

We need to hear from you! Please nominate who you think is deserving of these awards and tell us why.
NOMINATIONS ARE DUE by MAY 31st (PLEASE VOTE BY MIDNIGHT).

The Golden Acorn Award is presented to two volunteers who have given exemplary volunteer service to our school community.

The Outstanding Educator Award is presented to two individuals who have made outstanding educational contributions. An educator may be defined as a teacher, assistant, support staff, custodian, bus driver, or administrator -- anyone who has worked in the school with the kids!

***** Note: past winners are not eligible to win again so that we can recognize as many of our outstanding educators and volunteers as possible.*****
