Do you like my new necklace? 😊
Accidentally picked up the men’s 75-90 pound chain at this new (to the US) obstacle in Mammoth, CA at the Spartan 10k World Championship. 😩😆
Didn’t know there were lighter (more like 60 or so pound) chains for women lying around in the tall grass but hey, those were painted red and I suppose I’m more of a natural gal…
Besides, the color of steel pairs well with blood and mud, don’t ya think? 😉
Still finished on the podium, though - reminding myself once again to never let being a hotmess get in the way of thinking ya can’t also be a badass!

The Spartan Race 10k world champs tomorrow will be my 92nd Spartan race ever…
As I reflect on this race and what’s important to me, in racing and in life, I realize I’ve got nothing to lose and everything to win. ❤️
Racing is a privilege and a celebration - it’s a beautiful weekend in Mammoth, CA, and this middle-aged mama is feeling grateful, fantastic, and ready to roll! 🔥
Thank you all for supporting me doing this crazy sport for over a decade now. Each race is a gift - let’s do this! ❤️
