We are closed today in observance of Tuskegee University Founders' Day.

On July 4, 1881, Tuskegee University was founded by Booker T. Washington as a place of learning. This institution was built by the hands of its first students, and is a shining example of the belief that anyone in this country could "lift the veil of ignorance".
