On Friday, May 29th, we had the privilege of joining neighbors and leaders to witness the historic soil-turning ceremony for the future Tubman Health Center. Opening in 2027, this $42M, 26,000 sq ft facility will bring culturally responsive, holistic healthcare to 12,000 patients annually right in the heart of South Seattle.

As advocates for affordable and patient-first healthcare, it was incredibly inspiring to celebrate a space entirely designed by and for the people it will serve. Congratulations to the Tubman Health team on this monumental milestone! 🏛️

Make your business energy efficient and save money through Greenbank!
RVCDF is partnering with Greenbank to buy down the interest on loans that are good for the environment. Many loans support energy efficiency, including loans for:
✅Build outs
✅Windows
✅HVAC systems
These improvements are not only good for the environment. They lower your energy bills, improve your bottom line, and make your potential loan with RVCDF less expensive. Contact Bob Luciano ([email protected]), RVCDF Director of Community Planning & Development, to learn more.

Lower your loan payments with the Capital Access Program (CAP)!
Many RVCDF loans are eligible for the CAP program, a program administered by Grow America. CAP reduces your loan payments by buying down the interest on your loan, making it less expensive. Is your business:
Over 12 months old?
Have revenues under $2m?
Less than 50 employees?
Contact Bob Luciano, RVCDF Director of Community Planning & Development and ask if you’re eligible for the CAP program! Visit https://www.seattle.gov/economic-development/grants-and-funding/capital-access-program to learn more.

Last week, in the Richard McIver Conference Room, we held a convening of Southeast Seattle organizations serving our community, including Adefua, F.A.S.T., the YMCA, and other community partners, to discuss opportunities to co-create and collaborate together.

The collective wisdom in the room was inspiring. It was a powerful reminder of what is possible when organizations serving the same community come together with a shared vision, shared purpose, and commitment to collective impact.

We were glad to have these people and organizations in the room with us:
Academy for Creating Excellence (ACE Academy)
ADEFUA Cultural Education Workshop
Black 4 Enterprises LLC
Community Passageways
FAST (Fathers and Sons Together)
FiveDot Architects
Global Unspoken Truths LLC
Groforma
Northwest Tap Connection (Official)
OPCD
Rainier Beach Action Coalition
Rainier Valley Community Development Fund
Southeast Youth and Family Services
Ujamaa Property Collective
Valley & Mountain
YMCA of Greater Seattle
YWCA Seattle King Snohomish
Allied8

Excited about the possibilities ahead for Southeast Seattle and the communities we serve.
