In July 1938 four members of the Ravenna based Ptarmigan Climbing Club climbed 13 peaks in 10 days between Glacier Peak & Cascade Pass (two additional days for the hike back to their car at Suiattle River). Over time their little known adventure became known as The Ptarmigan Traverse. Now 84 years gone by and the Ptarmigan's traverse awaits a second ascent. 13 peaks, no April Fools joke.

Headed for Stuart's Northeast Face in Oct. (87 maybe). A fun rock climb after it dry's out towards the end of summer. Joining the north ridge at the Gendarme in a nice way to finish
