With the schedule releasing a week or so ago, I figured that I could give myself something to laugh at next January, by releasing some way-too-early predictions. After doing the NFC yesterday, I move onto the AFC. A few disclaimers first. One, I picked each and every game on the schedule for these predictions, without knowing each team’s records until the very end. I find this makes my predictions more interesting, and helps me avoid any snap judgements, like “The Titans will go 10-6, the Chiefs will go 13-3,” etc. Second, yes, I know these predictions are bold, but that helps me avoid the generic, upset-averse predictions that you always see. Also, these predictions don’t necessarily reflect my entire opinion on a team. I think the Chiefs are better than the Broncos, but because A: The Broncos have an easier schedule due to finishing second last year, and B: Upsets happen, the Broncos have a higher record. How do you feel about my too-early, gut-feeling predictions? How do you see the AFC turning out?

With the schedule releasing a week or so ago, I figured that I could give myself something to laugh at next January, by releasing some way-too-early predictions. I’m starting with the NFC. A few disclaimers first. One, I picked each and every game on the schedule for these predictions, without knowing each team’s records until the very end. I find this makes my predictions more interesting, and helps me avoid any snap judgements, like “The Cowboys will go 10-6, the Niners will go 12-4,” etc. Second, yes, I know these predictions are a little bold, but that helps me avoid the generic, upset-averse predictions that you always see. Also, these predictions don’t necessarily reflect my entire opinion on a team. I think the Saints are better than the Bucs, but because A: The Bucs have an easier schedule due to finishing third last year, and B: Upsets happen, the Bucs have a higher record. How do you feel about my too-early, gut-feeling predictions? How do you see the NFC turning out?
