Olson Kundig Architects introduces ‘Maxon Studio,’ as a private workspace to compliment an existing home nestled amongst the forests outside Seattle. The project creates a workspace and a retreat for quiet reflection. Taking shape as a two-story steel tower and mounted on a fifteen-foot-gauge railroad track, the studio is designed to seamlessly transition from a nested extension of the home‘s living space to an independent, detached structure.

Walk the design runway in this decade-by-decade tour of what’s been new and exciting in downtown Seattle’s built environment from 1889 through today.

Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023 will take place from 18 to 23 April, returning to its traditional Spring dates for the first time in three years. The fair has announced plans for its 2023 edition, with a new cultural programme that will offer visitors to the fair an enhanced experience. 2023 also marks the return of its biennial light event, Euroluce, whose layout is inspired by urban planning to reimagine it as a ‘city of light’.
