This is a collage I made during the spring of 2018 when I decided to take a break from drinking.
It reflects what I was thinking, feeling and experiencing in those first few weeks without my usual routines and comforts. Collage has always been a fun way for me to experiment with imagery, color and shape. Using found images in new ways is intuitive and let’s my unconscious lead.
One thing that surprised me when I gave up drinking was how much time I got back. It was shocking in the best way. Time opened up and I was challenged to create new routines and to endure the dreaded boredom. I now know boredom is the doorway to creativity.
As summer wraps up, let’s focus our attention on what we need in these next few months. What if I we head into fall in community, taking turtle steps towards our health and vitality and creating sustainable habits.
We think alcohol helps us relax, unwind and celebrate.
But we also know that there is a cost on our energy.
Imagine no hangovers, no headaches, no regret.
Did you know it takes the body a full week to completely detoxify from alcohol and even longer from cannabis?
When we have a nightly drink or two, or even only drink on the weekends, we are in a constant state of physical, mental and emotional recovery.
What would it feel like to be more of your true self?
Instead of overwhelmed, let’s arrive in December calm, grounded, and proud.
This isn’t about fixing, it’s about becoming more of who we really are.
Together, we will practice real self-care: support, coaching, and tools in a supportive community of women without judgement.
Starting new habits doesn’t have to be hard and is 1000% easier together than going it alone.

I’m holding space for only 8 women this fall.
