Recap from our Power in Movement workshop🧑🏾🩰
This was lead by Alvin Ailey trained dancer Akoiya Harris who helped us use dance to tell our own story.
Thank you to her and ARTE NOIR for helping us build a space where movement can be more than choreography but a tool to elicit joy and self expression.

Recap from last week where we had conversations on Race and Population Health, third installment of our Learn. Connect. Build Community. Series in partnership with PDA. Much love and gratitude again to Fats Chicken & Waffles for inviting us to their space on their day of rest. Thank you Drew for guiding us through a powerful conversation on the connections between race and population health. Your insights challenged us to think more deeply about the systems, histories, and inequities that continue to shape health outcomes in our communities. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect, and continue these important conversations together!

Shout out to for donating their space on their day of rest, Erika for volunteering time to host us, allow us to be in community, having dialog with folks, about the experiences of Black fatigue and ways we can support one another through challenges. Amazing presentation and guided conversation by our very own Nia Jones. Thanks to all who came and join the vibrant conversations.
