“I was a little nervous about hiring a doula what seemed to be so late in the game, but Sharaya jumped right in and truly didn't miss a beat. From the first day we met for coffee, she made herself completely available to us and continued to do so throughout our experience. My husband and I weren't exactly sure what to expect, as this would be our first time bringing a child into the world. Today we absolutely cannot express how grateful we are for the support Sharaya offered us, specifically during labor and delivery. We are certain my labor would have taken a turn down a different path (away from my birth plan) if it weren't for her. Sharaya's presence alone gave my husband and me so much confidence. My pain became very real around 8cm, and we cannot imagine this time without Sharaya. It was very wild to have such a personal experience with someone you just met eight weeks ago, but Sharaya was more than cut out for the job, and she did it with abundant grace. Sharaya advocated for me when I couldn't provide physical comfort measures that no one else knew how to, and she stayed extremely calm despite my panic during pushing and post-delivery complications. ⁣

I am so incredibly proud of myself for sticking to my birth plan and delivering my daughter in a fashion that I felt was best. It was a mind-blowing experience filled with more feelings and intense emotions than I could have imagined or prepared for. ⁣

Every single day since delivering my daughter, I have felt a great sense of gratitude for Sharaya and everything she brought to the table. I will cherish this experience forever, and Sharaya will always be a big part of that.”
