Rosché Immigration Law PLLC
Time for a WEDNESDAY WIN. Huge congratulations to a client of ours who won her asylum case this week!
It has been eight years since this client left behind her businesses, her husband, and her community. She truly exemplifies the resilience and strength so many women and mothers carry. Due to her political activism in support of women's and children's rights, she faced immense persecution, and through it all, she held onto one goal: giving her daughter a safer future.
She filed for asylum back in 2018 and then waited, and waited, with no interview in sight. So, she acted: Attorney Rosche filed a mandamus lawsuit on her behalf, a legal tool that asks a federal court to order a stalled government agency to act. It worked! USCIS gave her an interview, and she won.
She is safe now. Her daughter is safe now. And a system that kept her waiting far too long finally gave her what she came here for: a chance to be free.
Here's to hope, one win at a time.

WEDNESDAY WIN: New office, new chapter!
Big news from Rosché Immigration Law PLLC: we've moved!
Our new home sits just off the Seattle waterfront in historic Pioneer Square, at 85 S Washington Street. We're housed inside the St. Charles Hotel, a building raised in the years after the Great Seattle Fire, when the whole neighborhood came back stronger than before. We love that history. It's not a bad metaphor for the work we do every day.
Because at RIL, we believe every great immigration attorney shows up in three ways:
ADVISE. Immigration law is dense & it's constantly changing. Our clients deserve guidance that's clear, current, and honest.
ADVOCATE. We fight for our clients in courtrooms, in filings, and in every conversation with a government official. Advocacy is not a one-time act. It's a posture we hold from day one.
ACCOMPANY. Immigration cases are not transactions. They are years of someone's life, and often their family's future. We stay close, we answer the phone, and we show up.
New walls, same mission. We couldn't be more excited to welcome clients, colleagues, and friends to this new space.
Here's to hope, one win at a time!

The Supreme Court is deciding some of the most consequential cases in recent memory. The New York Times put together a clear, well-organized breakdown of the major cases this term, including where each one stands and what is at stake.
Whether you are following along for your own case, a family member's situation, or just staying informed, this is a helpful resource.

This WEDNESDAY WIN is about the good actors in the legal profession.Last Saturday, attorneys showed up at El Centro de la Raza to offer free legal assistance to immigrants suffering from the fallout of the collapse of megalawfirm Luz Legal. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/a-huge-wa-immigration-law-firm-rises-and-falls-the-inside-story/
People started showing up at 4am with lines eventually wrapping around the block. 250 people were helped, and another event is already being planned to help the rest. Danielle Rosche said: “I haven’t seen such desperation and been so impacted since I volunteered down in Tijuana helping people who were waiting to cross over with the metering. It was a very intense experience and I’m glad I volunteered.”The clinic was offered to mitigate the effects of Alexandra Lozano’s megafirm closure on June 10. After accusations of fraud forced her to resign, tens of thousands of ex-clients are left to pick up the pieces. The damage and betrayal of trust is profound. But in the darkest times, we find the light in each other. And Saturday showed how community organizing works. Not everyone was seen that day, but what happened in those lines mattered too. Beacon Hill neighbors taking in the crowds. El Centro staff and residents connecting with people who came looking for answers. Legal professionals volunteering their time to remedy the harm.We are here! We receive around ten of these calls every day. We are actively taking on these cases. And we are committed to showing up with integrity for those who were taken advantage of.Here's to hope, one win at a time.
Alexandra Lozano’s WA immigration law firm imploded. What went wrong? Former staffers plagued by guilt. Shocked clients. Allegations of harmful practices. It’s a story shedding light on the desperation of millions.

WEDNESDAY WIN – A Federal Court Ends the Immigration Pause
For months, nearly four million people waited. Their cases sat frozen while their lives hung in limbo.
Not anymore!
On June 5th, Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island vacated the USCIS policies that had frozen immigration benefits for nationals of 39 countries since late 2025. Asylum applications, green card petitions, work permits, naturalization applications, and more. Cases untouched for months can finally move forward!
In his ruling, Judge McConnell turned the government's own rhetoric against itself. "If people wish to immigrate to the United States, they ought to 'follow the law' and 'do things the right way,'" he wrote. "This case serves as a perfect example of immigrants doing just that." These applicants filed their paperwork, paid their fees, and showed up for their interviews. USCIS refused to act. The court found that the agency had, in fact, neither "followed the law" nor "done things the right way."
Huge shoutout to the coalition of immigrant rights organizations and labor unions who sued in March 2026 and saw it through. The underlying travel ban remains in effect, but the policies USCIS used to sit on people's cases? Vacated. Gone.
