I spent the 85° PNW May day inside (in the A/C!) capturing 8 clients headshots for them! I tried to cut down my video but I got it narrowed down to three parts ok?? And here is part TWO!

Setting up the studio and getting ready for my clients 🫶🏼

I absolutely LOVE my FJ400 II but I am learning a lot of trial and error: for example, the battery doesn’t last long when you’re using it for back to back to back mini sessions which I’ve learned for the 2nd time now 🫠🫣🙃 it’s fiiiiiiiine but a tough lesson to learn with clients in front of the lens. Luckily I’m excellent in a crisis and can pivot with the best of ‘em! Still love it and excited to learn more about strobe this year (thank you for always answering all my questions even if I could ask ChatGPT).

Part 3 is up on my feed soon!

I’m going to be super real with you right now: please please please do not wait to reach out to your photographer.

If you know you want photos in 2026, literally right now is the best time to connect. My link to inquire is in my bio. Let’s get that glorious face in front of my lens 😍

When is the worst time? October.

We will fit you in, but it’s definitely contributing to the mental breakdown we are going to have in December ☠️

In the PNW, we are entering the golden months for outdoor sessions. Take advantage and get on the radar now. Once we hit October, the weather starts to mess with our availability, the days start to be shorter, and the holidays are fast approaching.

If you don’t care about fall leaves, consider getting your session done in April, May or June! If you don’t want holiday specific, consider July, August or September.

That subtle shift in your session date allows you to get something checked off your to do list early, increase your chances of nice weather, and have an opportunity to do a story telling session with your family at a location that means the most to YOU.

So what are you waiting for, have you reached out?

Love,

Your fave photographer who is apparently on one right now 😆☠️ on behalf of all her photog phriends

I’m also laughing because this fam did get on my calendar last minute in October (so it’s possible!) BUT they were VERY flexible and we squeezed it in like a brief window of time on a weekday which makes life much easier than a fall weekend lol, so there ARE exceptions. If you’re going to reach out late you must be prepared to be FLEXIBLE AF.

Listen Linda, you need a new headshot if:

🤍 you get ads for Korean Skincare routines
🤍 you’ve changed your hair
🤍 you’re having a HS reunion soon
🤍 you’re searching for a job
🤍 your current headshot is a selfie or AI 👀
🤍 you’re starting a business
🤍 you want a personalized email signature
🤍 you were born in the 1900’s
🤍 you’ve wondered what “si # # ” means

On Sunday May 3rd I’m hosting my first ever mini headshot sessions, and I plan to offer these twice a year. This is a great, affordable opportunity to get a simple headshot to use for the next 5-10 years 😆

A headshot goes a long way. It’s your calling card in a digital world. It’s the first impression on your email signature, the upgrade to your Apple ID, and the least you can do to further yourself in your career.

$150 + tax gets you:

⚡️3-5 hi-res edited images
⚡️additional images available for upgrade
⚡️session guide
⚡️a great headshot experience in front of my lens
⚡️the empowerment you didn’t know you needed

Booking page is linked in my bio, only 20 spots available!

Also how cute are my friends, fellow photographers & .paulson
