THIS WEEK ON: “I was only planning to stay for an hour” 🌙
@ is going to be spinning this week’s session on Saturday, June 20th. Stop by on Saturday to work on your Summer fitness goals so you can summermaxx more efficiently.
Also, why not come by and work out at a gym when its 10x cooler than usual? (And not just because we have A/C)
So far, these sessions haven’t been overly crowded and there hasn’t been any trouble getting your desired equipment or boards. Now is the time ⏰.
😍
Pssttt, you can literally get in for free if you’ve never done an intro class before. Come to the Sat night DJ sessions, then go to your first intro within 2 weeks and we will refund your day pass amount. It’s basically 2 free climbing sessions.
For our members, check your 4x memberships...they come with two free open gyms a month and DJ nights are included!
Climbing isn’t always about getting stronger.
Sometimes it’s about using the strength you already have more effectively.
Mercedes breaks down a simple flagging drill that can help improve balance, body positioning, and movement on the wall.
Try it at your next session and see what changes. 💪

POV: you signed up for one class and now you're rearranging your week around it ✨
It starts innocently enough.
You try a class.
Then you're booking the next one before you leave.
Then you're texting your friend, "same time next week?"
Then somehow it becomes the highlight of your week.
Funny how the best routines tend to find us when we least expect them 🤍

“I just don’t think climbers train hard enough.” Do you agree?
Dylan’s been climbing for 13 years and climbs V10 (rumor has it it’s V12).
We threw him into a ROQ flare and asked for his hottest take and honest opinions 👀.
That’s what he has to say. Would you give it a try?

TAG YOUR BESTIE 💞
It's been a few months since we've done a LADIES CLIMB NIGHT here at ROQ... so its time to get it back on the calendar. You don't want your summer to be boring, do you?
This event will be the perfect kickoff to summer as you and your best girls join in for our foundations class taught by our amazing coach, Mercedes. This is the space for you to workout, cheer on your new workout squad, and reach those summer goals.
Here is some important information:
- Date: Wednesday, June 24th @ 5:45pm
- This class will be a safe space for women-identifying individuals of all levels/abilities to gather and workout.
- We strongly encourage that all attendees ensure they have completed our free intro class beforehand.

Trying to muscle through climbs when a simple foot switch would solve everything 😭
One of the most useful beginner climbing techniques that we teach in our intro classes is learning how to switch feet on small holds without losing balance.
It feels awkward at first, but once it clicks your climbing gets SO much smoother. Here is a drill from coach Jacob that goes over how new climbers can practice foot switching on the wall.
Save this for your next session 👣🔥
