Our work takes our staff to all kinds of locations, including areas with little to no cell service.
To ensure his safety while working on a remote dam-related project, Erick Martinez Mendoza leveraged technology and proactive communication.
“Phones nowadays allow for texting via satellite, which was incredibly helpful when I needed to send a text to someone to check in now and then. I also tried my best to stay in the line of sight of the crew that was working out there.”
Thanks, Erick, for taking the right steps to uphold safety in the field!

Krewe D'Geo showed up for APWA Washington's Spring Conference in a carnival kind of mood. And that's no geohazard, it's just Rocky the giant pet rock, star of their parade float! I also hear there are prizes on offer if you can find enough King Cake Babies in that big tub of beads.👶
If you're in Vancouver for the conference, be sure to swing by and see Layne Alfonso, Andrea Rocha, Garrett Sheets (pictured with Rocky!), Ian Parker, Sean Cool, Aaron Waggoner, Lyle Stone, and David Conlin to talk about our services for public works clients!
