In solidarity with the NW Danish-American community, we mourn the recent passing of Egon Molbak, a horticultural pioneer and co-founder of a fledging nursery that evolved into the national renowned Molbaks Garden + Home.

Together with his late wife, Laina, they represent a beautiful immigrant story of two young Danes, who ventured to the US to build a life for their family. Much like our founders, Jens & Inger Bruun, with the courage of youth, grit, and perseverance, they became pillars in our community.

Egon was a visionary and innovator with a strong commitment to family and community. He will be remembered for his immense kindness and generosity. We extend our sincere condolences to the Molbak family on this significant loss.
