COVID19 UPDATE: Temporary Clinic Closure Beginning March 16th.

At Sloth Around Community Acupuncture we have always believed that our role is to provide individual health services within a larger community context. It is with that larger view of the community in mind that we have decided to temporarily close our clinic beginning Monday March 16th. Since the novel Coronavirus pandemic started we have implemented numerous steps to reduce the likelihood of any possibility of transmission within our clinic. Although we are fully confident in the additional safety measures we have implemented, we believe our greater commitment to the health of everyone in our larger community needs to be prioritized now. Social Distancing, the practice of limiting time spent outside of the house and avoiding public spaces, only works when everyone does it. We are temporarily closing our clinic so that we can participate in Social Distancing, and we hope that everyone will follow our lead and implement the strict level of Social Distancing that it will take to keep everyone in our community as safe as possible and help minimize the impact on our our already overburdened healthcare system. Working together, we can keep each other as safe as possible.

We will continue to check our email and phone messages regularly. We will continue to offer herbal consults and manage herbal medications for patients that we have already worked with. If you have any questions or concerns about your treatment plan during this temporary shutdown, please reach out to us.

Check in regularly on our website for clinic updates. We will be monitoring the CDC and local King County Health websites for updates about when it is best to reopen. Thank you for understanding, and for doing your part to help keep our community safe.

Please take care of yourself. Get good rest, eat healthy foods, stay hydrated, do things that bring you joy and lower your stress.

Lastly, we ask you to remember those who will be the most vulnerable during this time. We encourage you to check in with your extended community to see how you can be of service to individuals who may be at risk. Living with a chronic health condition can be quite isolating in these situations. Reach out, share some love and support.
