Two years ago, I was thinking about the music my brother Dan exposed me to…Tower of Power, Average White Band, Sly and the family Stone and The Brecker Brothers and how I loved the funk sound and feel. I was already into jazz so my brother taught me how to mess around with Jazz voicings with that funk feel. That’s what led to this new song. No vocals but the feel and sound of jazz/ funk. I’m excited for you all to hear this song on June 12th. Hope it moves you. Peace
