Also, I just really wanted to post these pictures, so this felt like a good excuse to celebrate the milestone. 💁‍♀️

There were many reasons behind my decision to stop drinking, and along the way, I discovered benefits I never expected. As an introvert, it’s helped me navigate social situations without relying on a crutch. I’ve gained a confidence in myself that I didn’t have before.

These past five years have shown me just how deeply alcohol is woven into our culture—so many adult gatherings revolve around it. But stepping away from drinking hasn’t stopped me from hitting the dance floor or grabbing the karaoke mic. Now, I just do it with more clarity (and a little extra anxiety that eventually fades into confidence…or at least indifference).
I don’t know if this will be a forever thing, but so far, it’s been an insightful and rewarding journey.

Two different girls stopped me this weekend to tell me how much they loved my outfit - one even pulled over in her car to say it 😭
So here’s your reminder: dress for yourself and dress for the girls. The girls get it, always. ✨
