Peri/Post Menopausal clients and friends who may want some additional support, tools, and connection to a PT I admire greatly to help navigate any challenges you may be facing during this time of transition- come to Fawn Coussens of Kinetic Physical Therapy's upcoming Peri/Post Menopausal Workshop on Wednesday, 1/29/25 at 6pm. I'll be there too! More info and how to register in the shared post below.
While I provide pelvic floor education, support, and manual therapy for my clients of all genders, I don't do internal pelvic work and love partnering with physical therapists who do. Plus we all are better as a community as we have different tools and lenses to look through- so I am grateful for this community opportunity and to be a part of it too as a learner (help for me and more tools for my toolbox to help clients!)
Schedule : Kinetic Physical Therapy A local, Physical Therapist owned, private practice located in West Seattle

Next Saturday I’ve got my first dance performance in 26 years! I’m having a wonderful time tap dancing again- such joy to be together with others moving and feeling alive on such in such a primal way.
This is a fund raiser for the studio, Northwest Tap Connection (Official). If you’d like to support the work this studio does for the arts and its community but can’t come, please consider a donation. Quick 3-minute video peek into this organization: https://youtu.be/QhzY9aRWc4s?si=X7wO65qktHciNDA-
From the studio owner:
“Northwest Tap Connection’s performance of “Hard Times Require Furious Dancing” is designed to educate and enlighten observers about the “Black Experience and the direct link of Music, Song, and Dance” used for Healing, Celebration, Education, and Protest. The experience highlights the strong bonds of African based Celebrations of Congo Square, Plantation Living, Black Church, Juke and Dance Halls, Block Parties and the influence of the Apollo Theatre and Soul Train.
VIP Tickets on Friday and Saturday are inclusive of the Performance, and entry to the VIP Receptions and Cultural Education Exhibit. VIP Tickets serves as a fundraiser for the Northwest Tap Connection Close the Gap Scholarship. The Goal for the 2024 Close the Gap Campaign is $250.000.00. Close the Gap provides scholarships for classes and travel opportunities to underserved communities.
Northwest Tap Connection’s contribution to Seattle’s Art, Cultural, and Education communities as well as the global tap dance family will be included by performances and inspirations from former Students and Instructors. The Cultural Exhibit will include pictures, video footage, and artifacts designed to educate and enlighten observers about the “Black Experience of Music, Song, and Dance” and is
directly linked to the Performance - Hard Times Require Furious Dancing.”

A picture is worth a thousand words. Oh and I love the words here from Dr. Rolf too: "Some individuals may perceive their losing fight with gravity as a sharp pain in their back, others as unflattering contour of their body, others as a constant fatigue, yet others as an unrelentingly threatening environment. Those over 40 may call it old age. And yet all these signals may be pointing to a single problem, so prominent in their own structure, as well as others, that it has been ignored: they are off balance. They are at war with gravity." - Dr. Ida. P. Rolf, PhD
