Plan for What You Can. Adapt to What You Can’t.

Nothing teaches this lesson better than a hike up a mountain like Mt. Kilimanjaro. There are plenty of life lessons to take away from such a trek, and there is certainly something for you. Read what really hit Jill the most from her climb in our recent Substack.

Pay attention to the messages around you. Sometimes … SOMETIMES… the universe sends you something you need to know. And sometimes, social media or AI do that. It’s not all bad, sometimes it’s working with you.

Read this week’s Substack by Jill.

Remember to always consult your doctor or licensed healthcare professional before starting any kind of well-being regimen.

Starting this week with a reminder to be kind to yourself.

Last week on Substack, Jill shared how important it is to stop the comparison cycle, to face fears, to accept a compliment… in essence, to always take the win.

Today we are sharing a sneak peek of this week’s “What She Taught Me” episode on the Going the Distance podcast. Jill’s guest this week is Ronna Belinky of Workflows by Ronna. Part of their conversation is an extension of what Jill talks about in the Substack piece. Mark your calendar for Thursday when you can hear the full episode. Be sure you’re following the show so you get it in your feed automatically.

Read the full piece - we'll put the link in the comments.

We have literally all been there. The late-night technology issues. The last-minute government forms (FAFSA, anyone?). The call to the accountant to say “what is this number they are asking?” The night before the deadline, just trying to get this done… your spouse has gone to sleep, your friends won’t understand… you just need someone to vent to while you’re dealing with this nonsense.

Enter Jill and the Go Long system.

Listen, this client did everything right - more than right, actually. She had her son work on uploading his camp forms and he got stuck and couldn’t finish the project. It wasn’t easy for mom either… she was up late into the night trying to fix what ended up being a document-sizing issue. Jill was there on the other end of the line, just giving the kind of moral support you sometimes need.

Someday, when it’s time for this woman’s child to fill out college forms, he’ll be a step ahead of everyone whose mom never asked them to take on this level of self-administration. So as frustrated as she got, she’s bought herself calm later.

And in the moments that get crazy again, Jill will be there. It’s just what she does. Save this for later when you literally want to pull your hair out. We’ve got you.

Guilt is a tricky emotion. It can shut you down. It can completely take over. You can become consumed with guilt to the point you aren’t doing what you want, but always racing to exceed other people’s expectations.

Jill works with clients all the time who have serious issues with guilt on all levels and in different situations.

Swipe through to read this example of how she worked with a client to get past it - and how she might be able to help you or someone you know too.

Save this post for when you need it, or send it to a friend who can use it right now.
