Paul Dorpat, 1938-2026 05/29/2026

The Southwest Seattle Historical Society joins the heritage community in mourning the death of a monumental figure in local history. Paul Dorpat, known for the "Now and Then" Column in the Seattle Times and for co-founding HistoryLink, passed at the age of 87 on Wednesday.

Paul Dorpat's work is a legacy for everyone in our community. His life, an inspiration. He will be greatly missed. We are thankful for all that he has contributed.
