A gray sky day was perfect for a site visit to this nearly-complete wet weather station at the entry to Georgetown–from the wide open Operations Building, the passersby can see their hard work through the glass, while the operators can keep a literal eye on many parts of The Station. What does it do? Keep the city’s runoff out of the Duwamish River.

This evening at THING, it was impossible not to be captivated by the lady in red–moving through the arts and music festival like she belonged there (because she did).

Envisioned as a retreat for a landscape photographer and her family, the materials of original cedar and stone Yosemite cabins inspired the timeless shape and character of this home near the National Park.

It was great to see Building 305 at Fort Worden put to good use during THING Festival, doing what she does best: holding the sounds of music and conversation and making things happen.
