This is an ongoing portrait series, created in collaboration with the incredible residents, families of residents, and staff at the Alzheimer’s care facility where my mom lives: Silverado in Bellingham.

I do this in hopes of giving back to the residents and their families, and hopefully contribute some joy, fun, wonder, and humanity around the holidays. This is also an effort to help normalize the wonderful people who live with Alzheimer’s. To show that there is still so much beauty and joy in the midst of what is a truly brutal and unforgiving disease.
