You did it, Husky grads! Commencement is almost here, and we are so proud of you đź’ś
 
Before you head to Husky Stadium, make sure you have your graduation day survival kit ready:
- Student ticket and Husky Card or state-issued photo ID  
- Necessary personal items like your phone and keys  
- Empty or factory-sealed water bottle to stay hydrated  
- Sun protection like sunscreen, lip balm and sunglasses  
- Single-serving snacks    
- Leave backpacks and non-clear bags at home

Pack light, check the full security information on the commencement website before you go, and get ready to celebrate! 🎓

It’s National Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating the cultures, histories and communities of our AAPI communities all May long 💜

Looking for ways to get involved? Check out events like:

- The Way Lecture on Japan’s democracy (May 4, 5:30-7 p.m., Kane 225)
- A talk from author Michelle T. King on her book “Chop Fry Watch Learn: Fu-Pei Mei and the Making of Modern Chinese Food” (May 14, 3:30-5 p.m., YouTube livestream)
- Javanese gamelan music at a concert from musician Heri Purwanto (May 21, 7:30 p.m., Meany Hall)
