About Melissa:
Melissa Meyer, Tsimshian First Nation, is an experienced clinical herbalist, community trained plant practitioner, ear Acupuncture Detoxification practitioner, and fervent land, people and animal steward.

Working from a trauma-informed lens, she believes that reclaiming our relationships with plant medicines and our bodies is a sovereign act of resistance and (re)membering.

To date, Melissa’s work spans traditional medicine, community-based health access, cultural teachings, and board leadership with organizations focused on Indigenous health, land stewardship, and community empowerment.

About Amber (Puyallup):
Amber Stephens is a Level Designer at Illfonic where she has worked on Arcadegeddon, Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, Killer Klowns from Outer Space the Game, and Halloween. She graduated from DigiPen Institute of Technology Spring 2019 with a BA in Game Design focusing on Level and Encounter Design.

In 2020 she started Amber Stephens Arts and has been commissioned for beaded jewelry, paintings, drawings, prints, weaving, and public art projects in the community.

Over the last 2 years we have been partnering with the to plant Native plants on the land 🥰

We are are at an exciting phase - designing plant signs with everyone! Come and help us brainstorm signage that will be designed by .stephens.arts. The signs will eventually include their Lushootseed name, and their uses, and be installed at the site, and be used as learning tools when folks visit the land.
