On May 18, 1980, the eruption of Mount St. Helens changed the Pacific Northwest forever. The disaster caused widespread destruction and impacted thousands of families and communities across the region.

In the aftermath, Grange Insurance Association helped policyholders recover by paying 386 volcano-related claims. More than four decades later, we remain committed to helping protect what matters most when the unexpected happens.
