Here’s a photo that I captured of one of my ALL time favorite musicians, songwriters, vocalists, and live performers: John Waite!

The world lost an amazing human today. Neil Peart, best known as the drummer and lyricist for the band Rush, influenced generations of musicians with his, equally stellar and one of a kind, drumming as well as his lyrical poetry. Rush was my very first live concert WAY back in 1982 and remains one of my very favorite bands to this day. As an eleven year old, I studied Neil’s lyrics and regularly had my mind blown! Neil’s influence on me as a drummer is as deep as could possibly be. If there were a Mount Rushmore of drummers, Neil would very much be up there. He was an absolute titan as a drummer and to top it off, he was an incredibly good, sensitive human being. He has been one of my heroes for sure. 🎶🙏🏼🎶
