It takes time to look under the surface and understand the dramatic impact that can be realized by making boats electric. Here, CNBC takes an in-depth look at the different approaches companies are taking to solving this problem.

Boating is booming. The only way to make it accessible to more people, without harming the outdoors, is to make each boat easier on the environment, and more attractive for consumers.

Our plan is simple. We design and develop the key enabling technologies, collaborate with General Motors to integrate their EV components in larger boats where they make sense, and prepare for scale, so we can deliver boats at prices comparable to those of similar conventional boats.
