What a wonderful morning we had with Seattle Youth Leadership Program (SYLP) last Friday! 🧡

Students from the SYLP spent time with residents at our Rehab & Care Center and Assisted Living — folding origami side-by-side, swapping stories across generations, and performing songs for our residents.

SYLP brings together Asian American high school students for a summer of leadership, identity, and community-building. Thank you for spending part of your summer with our Asian senior community!

🧵 Sewing Club Meetup — Learn to sew & make your own hat! 5 sessions, 7/7–8/4 (Tue), 10:30–12 PM. $15 members/$50 non-members.

📚 Practical English Class — Taught in Mandarin/Cantonese by Dr. Thomas Lee. Fridays starting 7/10, 10–11 AM.
日常實用英語：李醫生以普通話/粵語教授，7月10日起每週五。

🥗 Nutrition & Food Program — Bellevue residents 65+. Cooking demos, free groceries & $35 gift card! 8/13, 9/10, 11/12, 12/10, 12:30–3:30 PM.
營養與食品計劃：限貝爾維尤65歲以上及中等收入以下居民。烹飪示範、健康講座、免費食物袋及$35購物卡！

At Kin On, we see every day the importance of planning ahead for long-term care.

WA Cares is Washington State’s public long-term care insurance program funded through payroll contributions. Eligible workers who meet the required contribution and care criteria may qualify for a lifetime benefit of up to $36,500 (adjusted for inflation) to help cover long-term care services.

We encourage members of our community to stay informed and explore how WA Cares may support their long-term care planning needs.
