We fully support the general strike today! Broadcast Coffee will be open Friday, January 30th and we stand steadfast with our friends, neighbors and immigrant community. 2025 was a really rough year for all small businesses, and this sh*t-storm ain’t done yet. We can’t afford to lose a day of sales, but shining a gigantic spotlight on bu****it that’s going on right now was important to me, so we asked our cafe employees if they wanted to close, or remain open, and they opted to open today so that we can continue to be a safe gathering space, full of support and resources.

We will donate all our profits from sales on Friday between two organizations in Seattle- Seattle Neighborhood Group and Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network. For our Boise cafe, we’ll need to do some further research on who we will give to.

What is happening to our country right now is heart-breaking to say the least. We will continue to fight for what is right and we won’t stop until ice is gone! Take good care of yourself, and your community.

👀BABY’S FIRST CO-FERMENT

We’ll be honest, we’ve side-eyed the co-ferment* trend for a while now. We’re all about consistency, quality, and keeping the coffee itself front and center. A lot of co-ferments we’ve tasted have been fun, but too often the other elements took over the cup.
This time, though, was different. Cinnamon was introduced during fermentation in a way that enhances flavors already present in the coffee. The result is a cup where the cinnamon shines through, yet never drifts into “flavored coffee” territory.
We loved it so much we booked the lot right away. It’s a small release, and one we felt deserved to be featured.

Say hello to 🍂 Autumn Spice 🧡

⛰️Elevation: 1,100-1,200 masl
🔬Variety: Yellow Catuai
🔮Process: Experimental
🎶Notes: Cinnamon, Brown Sugar

Fazenda Inhame is a farm in Campos Altos, the highest altitude area in Cerrado Mineiro, Minas Gerais. The farm is owned by 5th generation farmer Bruno Antonio Franco and his father Marcos and has been in the family for over 50 years. Over 100 hectares of their 650 hectare land is dedicated to growing coffee.

This coffee comes from their Yellow Catuai plants, and is sorted to remove defects and by screen size. The sorted coffee undergoes a 96 hour fermentation with whole cinnamon, or canela, inside of large barrels. When we first tasted this coffee, we immediately knew that we had to have it in our lineup for the colder months. Cinnamon is immediately recognizable in the cup, along with other mulling spices, chocolate, and brown sugar.

*What is a co-ferment you ask? Great question! The short version: during processing, producers add things like fruit, spices, or herbs to the fermentation stage and the results can get pretty wild. The trend has sparked some controversy, but make no mistake, this is not your grocery store flavor-infused coffee. These are cutting edge techniques pioneered by some of the best in the game.

🚨🚨🚨

Alert! Alert! We’ve got a new coffee release, and a word from our founder!

Our latest coffee launch is a SUPER special offering, brought to you by Rafael Vinhal. The Vinhal family has been producing exceptional coffee in the Cerrado Mineiro region since 1988, frequently scoring high in the Cup of Excellence competition.

Their drive for quality has led them to pioneer unique, experimental processes with exceptional results. We’re thrilled to showcase one such innovation in our latest release: Brazil Piña Colada. This coffee underwent a complex extended fermentation coupled with a thermal shock process. Altogether more than 30 hours of processing brought out a flavor profile that’s both wild and unmistakably tropical.

🌈 Hey folks, it’s Barry — founder and gay leader of Broadcast! While we haven’t been doing a ton of outwardly gay things lately, let’s be real: us just existing is pretty damn gay. So, happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈✨

This Pride weekend (June 28 & 29), we’re raising funds for an organization I absolutely love and that Seattle is so lucky to have: the Q***r Sick Pay Fund (qSPF).

qSPF supports q***r nightlife performers in Seattle by offering actual sick pay when they need to miss a gig. No one should have to choose between rent and rest, especially those who make our city come alive with creativity and joy. In an industry with zero safety nets, qSPF is community care in action — started by Betty Wetter and Drama Tops, two badass artists who saw a need and made something beautiful.

💸 Here’s how we’re supporting:
 – 10% of all sales at our Yesler cafe
 – $2 per bag of Brazil Piña Colada sold in-store
 – $5 per bag of Brazil Piña Colada sold online at broadcastcoffee.com
…will go directly to the Q***r Sick Pay Fund.
