A threat to birds worldwide, climate change is forcing many birds to relocate in search of better habitat/conditions. Many of these birds will seek refuge in the northern reaches of the Boreal Forest.
Better protecting it is a must!

As we've said in the past, a recent wave of Indigenous-led conservation across Canada's Boreal Forest is providing a refreshing glimpse of optimism in otherwise uncertain times. This is what that looks like on the ground.

Ottawa, Dehcho First Nations sign deal for 1st Indigenous protected wildlife area | CBC News Environment Minister Catherine McKenna has signed an agreement with Dehcho First Nations Grand Chief Gladys Norwegian creating the first Indigenous-protected national wildlife area in Canada.
Billions of the migratory birds we marvel at in North America depend on the Boreal Forest for raising their young. Climate change will continue to complicate their ability to successfully migrate and breed.
