Being a landscape painter, never in a million years did i think I’d say I’m currently in the process of painting upwards of twenty different dogs on wood slices for Christmas— but hey, expect the unexpected friends.

Not doing any markets this year or selling anything else, so this tiny brush that I’m using for the detailed fur on adorable puppies is what I’ve got for ya. Since I can’t post any spoilers of the pups I’m painting for fear of ruining Christmas gifts!

Holidays come early for small biz artists!

Recently, I’ve focused my small biz energy on commissions and art for myself, rather than creating mass amounts of product for larger sale options.

Soo for the holidays this year I’ll be sticking with that approach, primarily taking custom ornament orders. It seems to fit more with my life at the moment and is still a way I can create art for other people.

I’ve also decided to try something new… In addition to taking commissions for wild landscapes and nature scenes, I’m taking requests for custom pupper ornaments!! Swipe to see an example I did as a gift for my boyfriend’s parents last year ✨

I want to fill up all of these blank wood slices with beautiful landscapes and puppy faces!!

Fun fact: this is the first PNW scene I have ever done, and it’s the largest canvas I have ever painted on! It brought me so much joy to take the time to create this, I hope scrolling past this makes you happy too!
