I’m a bit embarrassed to say...

It took me way too long to visit ’s new location, especially since it’s just a 5 minute drive from my house!

To be fair, most of that time I was either pregnant or taking care of a newborn, so I’ll cut myself some slack.

After my visit this past weekend though, I’ll be visiting with much more frequency as Mr.Cork & Fizz and I are officially members of their wine club!

Located at 10000 Lake City Way, is an urban winery in Seattle that not only makes delicious wine, but it’s also run by such friendly, knowledgable, and just overall wonderful people. We were lucky enough to get to have the assistant winemaker, Pete, pouring our tastes for us. He did such a great job of explaining different wine terms and teaching us about the wine and the vineyards where they grow the grapes.

My favorite wine of the day was a toss up between the Mourvèdre Rosé and the Southern Voyage which was a Grenache dominant Rhone blend. My mom and husband both loved the Malbec.

I can’t wait to introduce all of our friends to this amazing spot!

Bonus points: Eight Bells is baby and dog friendly!

If you’re still reaching for German wine expecting only off-dry Riesling, you are missing out on an entire world of flavor!

In Part 2 of my interview with Lisa Tupetz () and Max Greiner (), we’re exploring the incredible diversity coming out of Germany’s warmest region: Baden.

What else is Germany crushing right now?
🍇 Spätburgunder: High-end, elegant Pinot Noir that gives Burgundy a run for its money.
🍇 Gutedel: A local specialty (known as Chasselas in Switzerland) that is crisp, mineral-driven, and the ultimate food wine.
🍇 Dry Whites: Bone-dry, structured, and sophisticated whites that will change your mind about German winemaking.
