Just finished a little project at work! 😊 It’s simple, but I really enjoyed making it. Here’s the pattern I used—thought I’d share in case anyone wants to try it too! ✨

Just wrapped up this little project using the Elastic Fabric Slippers pattern! 🥿✨
I’d love to hear your thoughts or any tips you might have. 😊
Check out the full pattern through the link below. Thanks so much for letting me share this with you all! 💛

My mother-in-law has this amazing habit—she never throws away leftover fabric. Every scrap goes into quilts she makes for donation. Watching her turn tiny pieces into something that brings warmth to someone else’s home is seriously inspiring!

Tomorrow my mom turns 78. She doesn’t remember who I am anymore. 💔

I made her a yarn cake—because she taught me to crochet when I was seven, sitting on her kitchen floor while she cooked Sunday gravy. Now, she thinks I’m just the nice lady who comes to visit.

Spent her birthday money on yarn instead of a real cake (she can’t eat solids anymore). Found someone selling vintage knitting needles and bought her whole collection—she used to collect them before forgetting she even owned anything. The pink ribbons on top? From her wedding dress I found in the attic last week. She wore it in 1967.

Tomorrow I’ll take this to the memory care unit. She’ll smile at the colors like she’s seeing them for the first time. Maybe she’ll remember teaching someone to crochet once. Maybe not. Either way… it’ll be enough. ❤️

I just finished a baby blanket… well, almost! I’m waiting on some cute daisy appliqués to add to the center of the squares because it just felt like it needed that extra touch.

I’ve been sewing for two years now, and honestly, I love challenging myself by trying techniques I see from random quilters on Instagram. Some things work, some things… not so much. 😅 This quilt looked easy at first, but wow, it really tested me! I ripped out stitches more times than I can count and had to redo them. But that’s the beauty of sewing—you can fix mistakes if you catch them in time.

Let’s be real: quilting is NOT for the faint of heart. There were moments I wanted to throw the whole thing (and my sewing machine 😬) out the window. But finishing a project? That moment when you step back and think, “I made this!”—it’s unbeatable.

So, hang in there, friends. Keep trying. Don’t lose hope. Every mistake is a lesson. If it looks good from a galloping horse… you’re doing just fine. 🐎✨

Challenge yourself. Try the tricky designs. Tear out a few hundred stitches if you must—it’s all part of the journey. You’ve got this! ♥️
