The future of Seattleโs Black community โ and all communities facing displacement โ is on the line.
CB 121011 (โRoots to Roofsโ) pretends to deliver equity, but in reality itโs another anti-Black, developer-driven policy that puts profits over people.
We canโt afford another policy that demolishes housing, accelerates displacement, and delivers zero real affordability.
Donโt be fooled. This bill:
โ Requires NO affordable housing
โ Lets developers profit without protecting families
โ Accelerates displacement of Black, Brown, and working-class communities
We demand REAL equity:
โ
50% affordable housing (at deeply affordable levels)
โ
Family-sized units
โ
Community ownership + nonprofit support
โ
Tree canopy and green space protection
๐ฉ Join us in demanding City Council Vote NO on CB 121011.
Our communities deserve real solutions โ not fake equity.
