The Oregon Coast doesn’t need to try hard. It just is.
Hiking through mist to get to the water. Riding ATVs on dunes that go on longer than you expect. A cold beer after a long day of being outside. Climbing the Astoria Column and actually feeling like you earned that view. Standing in front of Haystack Rock wondering how something that big just sits there in the middle of the ocean like it’s nothing.
This trip reminded me why road trips exist. No agenda, no rush, just stopping whenever something looks worth stopping for.
