While I’m still processing my feelings about this situation and don’t take such decisions lightly, my thoughts are primarily with my colleagues. After over five years with the company, many of us were laid off due to a change in our contract with the main client.

I’m confident I’ll be okay—I always manage to find a way forward and already have a few prospects lined up. I must say, Lavish has been an exceptional company to work for. They’ve managed to avoid layoffs several times in the past and even up until the last moment, they were doing everything possible to retain staff. I’m grateful to them and have grown significantly as a Chef because of my time there.

However, some truly remarkable individuals were also let go, and they may face more challenges in securing new positions due to various cultural factors. It saddens me to acknowledge that my resourcefulness is partly due to certain privileges not everyone shares. This is unfortunate because these colleagues are incredibly hardworking and possess skills that are invaluable in the culinary world. I’ve learned so much from working alongside them, and I am committed to supporting them whenever opportunities arise.

Hello, lead singer of and here. My cover group is Seeking Keys / synth / backing vocals for our covers mostly project.

We are a bunch of 30 some year old friends who play in other original bands in the Seattle area.
We’re looking for a talented keys player who can also sing and bring some fun energy to our little money making project.

Music Requirements:

• Strong keys skills ( Hammond organ, piano, synths)
• solid backing vocal abilities
• Ability to play blues, rock, and funk styles
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable playing live

Logistical Requirements:
Have reliable transportation, your own gear, and a sense of timeliness. Come to practice prepared and ready to play. Be available for a weekly Tuesday evening practice (we are open to changing nights but this currently works for us).

Members are in multiple projects and several have small children, so someone willing to take on a some logistical load and have ownership in the project will be not just desired but preferred. This could look like helping book shows, maintaining the website, or making posters - anything that helps the band develop and grow.

Shows we typically play include festivals, breweries, and private parties in the summer, and the occasional venue show in the winter to keep our chops up. Sometimes we play shows out of town (including Kitsap County, Pierce County, and surrounding areas), so please have a willingness to travel.
