Located on the property of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in the Central District of Seattle, Low Income Housing Institute will operate this 7-story, 92-unit building as permanent supportive housing for both low-wage workers and for individuals experiencing homelessness. The site was formerly a Tiny Home Village and the project is one of the first to be permitted under the Affordable Housing on Religious Organization Property ordinance by the City of Seattle, which allows for greater density on a site than would otherwise be developed. As permanent supportive housing, the project includes spaces for wrap-around services such as on-site case management.
