🕺 Coach Spotlight: Rob Adams 💪
| he/him | 58 & proud Gen X

If you’ve ever taken a class soundtracked by the perfect disco groove or found yourself laughing mid-workout — chances are, Rob was coaching. Since joining the coaching team in 2023 (after 8 years as a member), Rob has become a class favorite: equal parts movement coach, hype man, and 80s music educator. 🎶✨

Rob and his partner Steve are longtime Loft members who truly embody the spirit of our community — inclusive, welcoming, and living proof that fitness and longevity are for every decade of life. 💫

Originally from East Tennessee, Rob retired from a 30-year career at Boeing in 2022. These days, you’ll find him hiking, skiing, traveling with Steve — or lifting heavy things with a smile. Fun fact: he used to perform in community theater! Favorite roles? Greg in A Chorus Line and Woof in Hair. 🎭

Rob’s favorite part of coaching? “Helping people who show up and devote an hour of their time to improve their fitness.” We’re so lucky he shows up for us, too. ❤️

🧙‍♂️ Coach Feature: Lincoln Brigham
| he/him/any

Say hello to Master Lincoln, Wizard of Weightlifting 🏋️‍♂️✨ — a cornerstone of our Loft community since way back in the Jet City days. With over 8 years of Loft legacy under his belt, Lincoln brings strength, wisdom, and some serious boomer flair to the floor (and to the barbell).

🔎 Fun Fact: The only bone he’s ever broken? His skull. And yes—he’s totally fine. Really.

🏋️‍♂️ Favorite way to use fitness?
Jet-setting across the globe to lift heavy things overhead like a true adventurer.

🖼️ When he’s not coaching or cueing snatches with wizardly precision, you might spot him capturing epic gym moments on camera or sketching something rad. Seriously—check out his work!

💬 Lincoln says his favorite thing about working at Loft is simple: “The people.”

And we think that says a lot. ❤️

🧠 So what’s different now?

We’re not eliminating intensity—we’re balancing it.
Our weekly programming now includes:

âś… Strength-focused sessions (tempo, unilateral, hypertrophy)
âś… Zone 2 conditioning (aerobic capacity + nervous system recovery)
✅ Classic Metcons (still spicy 🌶️ but intentional)
This structure helps your body AND mind recover, adapt, and thrive. No more “guesswork” on when to push or pull back. It’s all built in.

📣 We’ve made some programming changes — here’s why.

After 10+ years of coaching CrossFit-style training, we started noticing something important: our most dedicated members were burning out.

The intense workouts, while effective in the short term, weren’t sustainable long-term for many. We knew it was time for a change.

Our goal isn’t just short-term fitness. It’s health, strength, and longevity — for life. 💪

👉 Stay tuned to hear how we’re approaching fitness differently.
