Why don’t behavioral strategies work for many neurodivergent kiddos? 🧐 Also gentle reminder 🫶 that it may “seem like it is working” in the short term because they comply, but they may be internalizing their threat response which can lead to trauma, burnout, low self-esteem and disconnection from caregivers and parents.
