Now more than ever, we need to keep fighting for an indefinite moratorium on evictions in Seattle and all over the country! This shows it can be done. Durkan is scared of the social unrest a wave of evictions will cause.

Seattle’s COVID eviction moratorium extended into January 2022 Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan issued an executive order Tuesday extending the city's COVID-19 moratoriums on most residential eviction and some commercial evictions through Jan. 15. They were to expire at the end of the month.

This wouldn't be happening without our movement that boldly declares that housing a right, demands an indefinite eviction moratorium and a cancellation of rent debt! Let's keep fighting!
