This ammonite piece was such a puzzle to create. Each arm formed individually and lined up to meld together had to fit just right with one another, the setting needed to be able to cradle the irregular and uneven fossil just so…there was a satisfying and fun problem to solve at each turn. It also led my seven year old and I on a tun hunt for answers on the difference between nautilus and ammonite! A rollercoaster of a project.

And while we can’t say for certain what these ammonoids looked like when they were alive, I’m trusting the estimates of science and art to help this breathe life back into a peculiar being.

The Annual Eatonville Arts and Music Festival was a total blast - with some of the very best vendor neighbors out there.

There were so many good, memorable, meaningful interactions and conversations with other vendors and customers alike. So, so, many beautiful pieces of art breathing life into the community. And so much incredible support from the coordinators, from between vendor stalls, from customers and even just floating in the air. AnyWAY that’s enough gushing for now. This event remains one of my favorites ♥️

Peep: a OOAK necklace gift created for a customer, my super thrilling setup process, a generic , artwork by Marlene Pool I couldn’t resist buying, and my tiny star folding helper.
