We are saddened to mark the passing of our friend of many years, Black Sparrow Press founder John Martin. John was a longtime supporter of our bookstore Arundel Books, and of our Indie press Chatwin Books.

Most recently, he encouraged us to publish Abel Debritto's massive survey of the work of Charles Bukowski (insert photo of book), who was the inspiration for John's founding of Black Sparrow. The book includes many of John's stories about the many projects he worked on with Bukowski, as well as his recollections of many other publishers and editors.

Our heartfelt condolences to Barbara and to the many fans of Black Sparrow.
