In Chrysalis, one half of this new series of reductive relief prints concentrates on the massive scaffolding used to support the often over century-old stone facades of buildings. The contrast is jarring and what once stood there is slowly transformed into another structure.
The second half of the series looks at scaffolding loaded on a truck and the slowly disintegrating skeletons of water towers.
In all of these instances the supports which are usually hidden within a structure come face to face with passers by. They are not only visible, but their prominent geometry is increased by being, in reality, also brightly painted.
