My 2 year appointment by the Seattle City Council to the Seattle Music Commission began today.
Our vision is to advise the City of Seattle on how to get this place poppin' while providing lucrative opportunities and global visibility for local musicians, music and film.

LAUGH REHAB began in the summer of 2011 at a sports bar called Trophy's in Renton, Wa, by me Ralph Porter D Lamont Hall and DJ Sixx an we had the spot smoking every Monday in a packed house with some of the best comedians from around the country.
Back then comedians could come to the Northwest and have a quality run by hitting Laugh Rehab on Monday night, JazzBones on Tuesday night, The Super Funny show produced by Nate Jackson on Thursday night and wrap up the week with Anthony Tibbs Comedy Fridays and we all worked together, not against each other and it provided a better experience for the fans of the entire region because folks could see the best black entertainment any night of the week.
Since then we grew on and blew up in other areas. I started working in Higher Education, The Chamber of Commerce and politics but somehow my life bent me right back to the beginning exactly 10 years later- That's wild!
This Friday will be the first time Me, Ralph and D Lamont will be in the same place at the same time in a decade. Which means the energy is going to be through the roof!
We'll be joined by Sweeng Whizzle DJ RC the Trackaholiq, The Comedy Grub producer and comedian Robert Moore The Controversy Queen and producer of her own show Tawanna Buchanan and coming up from Portland comedian Joe Beuselinck.
