Thanks to the American Rescue Plan and President Biden's economic strategy, more new small businesses are being created – and small businesses are creating jobs – faster than ever before. In 2021, Americans applied to start 5.4 million new businesses – 20% more than any year on record.

Our Administration is focused on giving Americans the financial security to take a risk and pursue their small businesses.

Congressional Republicans’ plan would tax about half of all business owners and continue to let corporations evade paying their fair share.

We will continue to build on this small business boom by:
-Expanding access to capital
-Helping owners navigate available resources
-Leveraging federal spending to support owners
-Leveling the playing field by reforming the tax code
