(Deutsch unten) A new book for friends of paleontology has been published: "Precambrian Mystery Fossils". The author is Bruce Stinchcomb, and Uwe M. Troppenz has contributed several chapters marked by name.
In the blurb it says: "Precambrian Mystery Fossils is a look at possible coordinated cell growth fossils found in deep geological time. This book presents a scientific conundrum which has often been ignored in paleontology, although sometimes with the acknowledgement that 'there are sometimes fossils found in rocks of Precambrian age which are not supposed to be there.' These are fossils of life forms which, if found in younger rocks would be considered as 'tissue grade' coordinated cell growth type organisms. Presented here are examples of some of these fossils, along with other controversial paleontological phenomena which is less problematical."
The book is characterized by a captivating text and excellent pictures and reconstructions, all with a clear layout. It contradicts the thesis of Precambrian "boring billions" and describes fantastic worlds that are alien to us and that have only gradually been discovered and interpreted in recent years. There is undoubtedly much more to come and to discuss controversially. Nobody can hope for a definitive "That's the way it is and no different"...

Ein neues Buch für Freunde der Paläontologie ist erschienen: "Precambrian Mystery Fossils". Verfasser ist Bruce Stinchcomb, und Uwe M. Troppenz hat mehrere namentlich gekennzeichnete Kapitel dazu beigetragen. Im Klappentext heißt es:
"Precambrian Mystery Fossils" ist ein Blick auf mögliche Fossilien mit koordiniertem Zellwachstum aus tiefer geologischer Zeit, die in der letzten Zeit gefunden wurden. Das Buch zeichnet sich durch einen fesselnden Text und hervorragende Bilder sowie Rekonstruktionen aus, das Ganze mit einem übersichtlichen Layout. Es widerspricht der These von präkambrischen "boring billions" und beschreibt phantastische, uns fremde Welten, die erst in den letzten Jahren nach und nach entdeckt und interpretiert worden sind. Es wird zweifellos noch sehr viel mehr zu Tage kommen und kontrovers diskutiert werden. Auf ein endgültiges "Das ist so und nicht anders" darf niemand hoffen...
