On this Ravenna Seattle project, KV Construction removed old lead-painted siding and rebuilt the exterior with a primed James Hardie siding system. The scope included HardieWrap, Hardie seam tape, HardieFlash around windows and doors, 26GA window head flashing, primed Hardie trim, primed metal flashings, Hardie light and outlet blocks, Z metal flashing, 7 1/4-inch Cedarmill HardiePlank lap siding with a 6-inch reveal, and Quad Max caulking.

The crew also reinstalled 15 windows, replaced old soffit with vented Hardie soffit and aluminum vent channel, repaired dry rot, reinstalled the front railing, repaired fascia, and fixed rotten plywood areas. This is the type of siding replacement where the visible finish matters — but the hidden repairs and water management details matter just as much.

KV Construction completed this Ravenna Seattle house and garage siding package in coordination with a general contractor. The work included old lead-painted siding tear-off, HardieWrap, Hardie seam tape, HardieFlash around windows and doors, 26GA window head flashing, ColorPlus Arctic White Hardie trim, metal flashings, Hardie light blocks, outlet blocks, water bib blocks, Z metal flashing, and ColorPlus Hardie lap siding.

The existing house received Arctic White fascia and Cedarmill Hardie soffit. The garage was upgraded with Arctic White Cedarmill soffit, 5/4x4 corners, door trim, and matching 8 1/4-inch ColorPlus siding. It is a strong example of how a house and detached garage can be tied together with the same durable fiber cement material package.

This Northgate Seattle project shows a clean ColorPlus James Hardie siding upgrade with Gray Slate lap siding and Arctic White trim details. KV Construction removed the old soffit, plywood eaves soffit, old Hardie siding, and white wood trim before rebuilding the exterior with HardieWrap, seam tape, HardieFlash, 26GA window head flashing, ColorPlus Arctic White trim, white metal flashings, and pre-painted Hardie blocks.

The entry received pre-stained 1x6 pine soffit, while the eaves were rebuilt with Arctic White vented Hardie soffit and Tamlyn aluminum H-channel between seams. The result is a sharper exterior with better moisture control, cleaner trim lines, and a factory-finished siding color built for the Pacific Northwest climate.

KV Construction worked with a general contractor on this new construction exterior package in Northgate, Seattle. The scope included WeatherSmart paper, flashing for window trims and blocks, Hardie siding installed per plan, X and W metal corners, vented Hardie soffit, Quad Max caulking, 38 windows, 2 sliding doors, and 4 single doors.

For the window installation, the crew used HardieBacker screws, DuPont flexible tape at the bottom openings, plastic shims under the windows, and Quad Max caulking under the fl**ge. This type of project is about more than siding boards — it is coordination, sequencing, water management, and clean transitions between windows, doors, soffits, corners, and siding.
