From the first time I saw Ansel Adam’s shot of the Grand Tetons from Snake River overlook. I wanted to shoot it too. I’ve now had 3 opportunities to do just that. On this (my 2nd) we arrived late on a stormy day when the mountains were backlit and the sun only occasionally shown through. But with a little patience the storm clouds and the crisp light offered up a dramatic scene.
